What's Ezubi ?
EEzubi is an online service which allows you to create a private storage space on Ezubi servers and use it to store all your multimedia files. Y our files will be reachable at any moment using any kind of web enabled terminal including desktop PC, Macs, Mobile phones, game stations and some set top boxes. doesn’t require to install any software or agents. File transfers and storage space management can be done from any computer at home, work or on the other side of the world in a web café !

How do you pronounce Ezubi ?
That’s easy : E-Z-Ubi (easy ubi). Ezubi stands for Easy Ubiquity.

BTW what’s “ubiquity” ?
Ubiquity is the ability to be in different places at the same time. Cool..

Why is Ezubi worth the money ?
Let’s do some maths : how much is a portable media player ? How much would it cost to add a memory card to your phone to store more files ? How much are you ready to pay to have a safe backup of your most precious files?

Privacy Protection
Ezubi does it’s best to protect all your private data. Your personal details will never be shared with third parties. Please refer to our “Terms of Service”."

What kind of data can I store on my private storage space ?
Well, basically anything as long as you do not upload material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material , publish falsehoods or misrepresentations that could damage Ezubi or any third party; upload material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate. Yes, basically anything.

Can I upload my music tracks ?
Yes. The service offered by Ezubi is covered by your right to keep private copies of all the media you have legally acquired. What’s more is that Ezubi will stream your music files when they are listened to and will not allow them to be downloaded and copied by any third party.

Who can access my private storage space?
You are completely free to manage access rights to any category of data (photos, videos, music…), to a specific album or to your home page. You can either offer free access to all to all your content or either protect access by using specific passwords associated to different groups you will be managing such as Friends, Family etc. In any case you are the only one who will be able to add, delete or change data on your private storage space, any other user will only be granted rights to view or listen to your media files.

How can I upload albums?
You will be assigned a login and secret password that grants you with “administrator” rights on your private storage space. All you have to do is select which files or folders you want to upload from your computer and then indicate which destination (photo, video, music) you want to use. Once your data is uploaded it can be instantly accessed from any other internet enabled terminal

Do I have to match content and destination categories?
No. But we do think that putting your photos in a photo folder and your music in a music folder is a good way to keep things organized. Anyway feel free to mix videos, photos and music in a same folder.

How can I easily organize my albums (photo, video, music)?
Whatever category you’re considering and whatever the album you will have uploaded it will carry the same name as it had on your computer. However you’ll be able to rename these files or folders , change access rights and cut and paste your content through the administration interface.

How can I watch or listen to my albums from anywhere?
Easy, just get your hands on any sort of multimedia terminal connected to the internet. Log on to the Ezubi web site using your username and password and you’ll get instant access to your personal storage space. That way you’ll be able to listen to your favorite tracks at a friends place or even at the office or in an airport waiting room.

How can I share my media with my relations?
Either give them the address of the Ezubi website, your account name and a visitor password or either you can invite your relations through the “invite” tool associated to all your files and albums. Your guests will receive an email with an internet link inviting them to visit your album..

Why should I differentiate access rights to my albums ?
Well, maybe you don’t want your mother to see the photos of your last party and at the same time you’ll want to be sharing a video a your cousins wedding with all your family. T hat’s why Ezubi will differentiate Family, Friends and All users access rights.

How can I upload photos I have taken with my phone ?
Just the same as on your PC. Log into the Ezubi mobile web site (mobile web or imode) position yourself on your photo folder and then s elect Upload in your administration toolbox. Then select the picture on your phone and that’s it…the photos is immediately on line and available to share..

What file formats are compatible with Ezubi streaming?
Most open file formats : MP3 and ACC for audio, flv and mp4 for video, JPG and Gif for photos as well as 3GP for mobile terminals.

How can I encode files to make them compatible with Ezubi streaming ?
All the best media players on the market offer the possibility to encode and save your files in most formats. Ezubi also provides automatic on line encoding for mobile terminals, meaning that, yes, you will be able to stream your MP3 files to your 3GP compatible mobile phone.

What are the limits to encoding?
There are no particular limits, 128 kbits encoding is more than comfortable on a desktop or laptop computer with a fast internet connection. You may want to consider 64 kbits encoding though for comfortable use over a mobile network (Edge, 3G).

Are you limiting file sizes?
No we’re not, but please keep in mind you have a limited storage space depending on what subscription option you will have taken. Any way if your feeling a little short of space….please, upgrade your account!

How long does uploading to Ezubi take?
It all depends on your internet connection. Depending on your upstream connection speed and the quantity of data you will be wanting to upload, you might consider uploading during the night. Let your computer do the work and get a good night’s sleep.
